Hearing International will seek to undertake other agreed upon international projects. These projects may include:
1. A continuous programme of public information and advocacy.
2.The establishment of a panel of volunteer specialists and professionals to assist in the development of national programmes and training projects.
3. The provision of a bank of appropriate equipment and appliances.
4. Help to develop and distribute appropriate and affordable hearing aids and other basic equipment.

Requests for minor equipment purchases may also be entertained on the understanding that ownership remains vested in Hearing International and that the recipient is responsible for all maintenance.

Hearing International will also seek the establishment in all countries National Committees for the prevention of hearing impairment.
In order to finance these activities, a determined effort will be made. This will require the active involvement of all members of the executive committee and of the international partners. We recommend that there be major fund-raising events on an annual basis in different parts of the world.

Hearing International will also seek to raise funds of at least $50,000 annually.
At each stage in this project, to ensure an appropriate system for measuring and monitoring outcome in terms of community development.

Within this policy, Hearing International will welcome well designed and costed projects from appropriate organizations in developing countries, particularly when they are developed within existing Hearing International centres. When such a project is agreed, we will seek, in collaboration with the promoting organization and our international partners, to mobilize external resources in support of that project on the understanding that a significant commitment is made in terms of finance, personal service and accountability from within the project area, and that the project is designed in the context of existing health and development programmes and with the maximum assurance of sustainability.

Whilst we recognize that such projects must be carefully designed and professionally evaluated.
